Hon C.D.B Williams has commended the All Progressive Congress APC leadership over the peaceful conduct of the party’s Nationwide primary elections recently.
Hon Williams told newsmen shortly after their party stakeholders meeting held in Owerri, that he was very delighted with the peaceful conduct of the primary elections held for various positions in APC, and also the leadership for the consensus option, which he said, has helped in putting the party in the right spirit for victory come 2027 general elections in the country.
He said that the consensus plan was a well articulated political process, which has assisted in the reduction of stress and struggle to emerge as a candidate of the party. He also commended the unity among members, adding that though there might be internal murmurs, the conduct of the exercise deserved to be commended.
The Owerri Municipal Council party chieftain who was the former flagbearer of APC in 2023 for Owerri federal constituency, explained that the stakeholders meeting has also contributed in cementing the unity of the party, because with the advise of Governor Hope Uzodinma and the party chairman, Hon Austin Onyedebelu it means the part was riding to victory.
Similarly, the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Narcotics, Hon Ogonna Eze has also expressed confidence in the leadership of APC over the peaceful primary elections held in Imo State.
Hon Ogonna who aspired for the Ezinihitte state constituency position in Imo State Assembly, said that the party was moving forward to emerge victorious in the general elections by 2027. He said the aim of the stakeholders meeting convened by the state leadership in order to put every member in one page.
He added that not everyone who aspired for position will win, saying also that the leadership of the party has foresight to have come up with the consensus option.
